This topic demonstrates how to use the City-Pair Routes screen to add a new route.

Detailed Explanation 

Add a City-Pair Route 

This topic shows you how to add a city-pair route to the N-Flight Planning system.

 This functionality is available to all users that have access to the FOMS menus.

City-Pair Routes Screen 

The City-Pair Route interface is available through the Maintenance menu.

Valid Days: Route validity can be set for specific weekdays, weekends, or user defined calendar days.

Filter Info: Granularity of filter options allow for strict or liberal route applicability.

Options: Granular options allow for setting default flight conditions, and allowing the system to trigger warnings if certain conditions are not met.

Route building will be explained during the recorded demonstration.

The following steps show how a user can add a new city-pair in the system. 

Interaction 1 Click the Add button.

Interaction 1 Enter czb into the ALC field.

Interaction 1 Click the CZB list item.

Interaction 1 Enter cyyz into the Origin field.

Interaction 2 Enter tls into the Destination field.

No filters will be used for this route. It will be valid for all days, all times, and all aircraft.

Interaction 1 Click the Expires dropdown button.

Interaction 2 Click the Never list item.

Interaction 1 Click the Switch to Route String Editor button via the a button.

Interaction 1 Click the Depart Via dropdown button.

Interaction 2 Click the SID list item.

Interaction 1 Click the Arrive Via dropdown button.

Interaction 2 Click the STAR list item.

Interaction 1 Click the Path input field.

Interaction 1 Enter Lorka q907 MIILS into the Path field.

Interaction 2 Click the Accept button.

Interaction 1 Click the Zoom + button.

Interaction 1 Click the Edit button on the MIILS+CY+E Waypoint line.

Interaction 1 Click the DCT dropdown button.

Interaction 1 Click the MTTA list item.

Interaction 1 Click the Accept button.

Interaction 1 Click the Add button for MIILS+CY+E line item.

Interaction 2 Click the Zoom + button on the airways map.

Interaction 1 Enter sepal into the Empty field.

Interaction 2 Press the Enter key.

Interaction 3 Enter sepal into the New field in the table.

Interaction 1 Click the Sepal input field at the top of the map.

Interaction 2 After clearing the field, enter un470 into the Empty field.

Interaction 3 Press the Enter key.

Interaction 4 Click the New dropdown button under Airway in the table.

Interaction 5 Click the UN470 list item.

Interaction 1 Click the Accept button.

Interaction 2 Double-click the Zoom + button on the map.

Interaction 1 Click the UN470 input field at the top of the map.

Interaction 2 Once you have cleared the field via the backspace key, enter cna into the Empty field.

Interaction 3 Press the Enter key.

Interaction 4 Click the SEPAL+LF+E Add button.

Interaction 5 Enter cna into the New field.

Interaction 1 Click the CNA+LF+V list item.

Interaction 1 Once you have cleared the field via the Backspace key, enter un863 into the Empty field at the top of the map.

Interaction 2 Press the Enter key.

Interaction 1 Click the UN863 dropdown button.

Interaction 2 Click the UN863 list item.

Interaction 3 Click the Accept button.

Interaction 1 Click the un863 input field at the top of the map.

Interaction 2 Once you have cleared the field via the Backspace key, enter seche into the Empty field.

Interaction 3 Press the Enter key.

Interaction 4 Click the Add button next to the CNA+LF+V line in the table.

Interaction 5 Enter seche into the New field.

Interaction 1 Click the New dropdown button under Airway.

Interaction 1 Click the MTTA list item.

Interaction 1 Click the Accept button.

Interaction 1 Click the Comments input field.

Interaction 1 Enter test route into the Comments field.

Interaction 2 Click the Save button.
