FOMS Menu 300 (Aircraft Maintenance Menu)
FOMS Menu 300 is the Database Maintenance Menu. It is the gateway to the routes and waypoints/airways databases, and other miscellaneous database programs.
This topic covers the FOMS 300 menus, which contain these database functions.

FOMS Menu 301 - FAA Routes Program
This program allows users to view the FAA Preferred and CDR Route summaries, as published on the 56-day chart cycle.
The modes available are:

FOMS Menu 305 - City-Pair Routes Program
Use this program to create routes between any city-pair. It is designed to offer you complete flexibility so that you can be specific about every detail of the route, or define the route in terms of one or more MTTA (Minimum Time Track Airways) segments, or any combination in between.
The modes available are:

FOMS Menu 306 - Disable Routes Report Program
Use this program to generate a report of all of the city-pair routes on the system that have been flagged as Disabled by the AIRAC update process.
There are no modes in this program.
Press Y to generate the report. Press Enter to return to the main menu.
FOMS Menu 310 - Preferred Entry Route Program
Use this program to create and maintain preferred entry routes that connect with a track structure. These may or may not be associated with a specific airport of departure. The Route Analysis program searches this file for preferred entries named in the Track Message, and assembles routes containing the appropriate segments.
The modes available are:

FOMS Menu 315 - Preferred Exits Program
Use this program to create and maintain preferred exit routes that connect with a track structure. These may or may not be associated with a specific airport of arrival. The Route Analysis program searches this file for preferred exits named in the Track Message, and assembles routes containing the appropriate segments.

FOMS Menu 316 - Preferred Departure Program
Use this program to create and maintain preferred departure routes that connect an origin airport with a transition waypoint via some ATC published preferred route. The Route Analysis program searches this file for preferred departures and assembles routes containing the appropriate segments.

FOMS Menu 317 - Preferred Arrivals Program
Use this program to create and maintain preferred arrival routes that connect a destination airport with a transition waypoint via some ATC published preferred route. The Route Analysis program searches this file for preferred departures and assembles routes containing the appropriate segments.

Use this program to view the file of Approach Routes.

FOMS Menu 327 - Published Minima Data
Use this program to access the published Minima data for approaches, which will help you determine if a flight can operate as planned based on current weather conditions. The menu displays all available published approach data (Published Approach Minima) based on four regulatory standards, and this information is subject to AIRAC cycle updates. Note: This menu is display-only and users cannot make any configuration changes through this screen.

FOMS Menu 330 - Track Updates Program
Use this program to view the detailed waypoints and fixes for both fixed track structures such as the North Pacific, or floating track structures such as the North Atlantic.

FOMS Menu 340 - Waypoints and Facilities Program
The Waypoints and Facilities data file is a key navigation file for FOMS. The file contains information on worldwide airway points, including data on: identification, location, frequency, VOR/NDB/Enroute/Terminal, and local magnetic variation.
Note: There are numerous changes made by various regulatory bodies, so all files should be regularly updated.

FOMS Menu 341 - Airways Route Update Program
Use this program to access the Airways data file. These airways are used by the Minimum Time Track Airways program and all of the various Routes programs to ensure that any routes entered conform to the published airways.
Data is updated by NAVBLUE every 28 days in accordance with the AIRAC cycle.

FOMS Menu 342 - Airways Direct Legs Update Program
The Route Analysis program ensures that only established direct legs are used in the generation of an MTTA. This function enables the user to view a file that includes only those direct legs confirmed as acceptable.

FOMS Menu 343 - Airways Link Program
Use this program to view all of the waypoints that are linked by airways or direct legs to a selected waypoint. This enables you to determine what airways use the particular waypoint, and what direct legs have been established.

FOMS Menu 345 - CDR Airways Report Program
Use this program to generate a report of all airway segments that are currently flagged as CDR 2 or CDR 3 according to EUROCONTROL's Conditional Routing scheme.

FOMS Menu 350 - Flight Level Maintenance Program
This program is used to define Flight Level Codes. Each two-character code can be associated with a range of flight levels that may be flown.

FOMS Menu 355 - Minimum Off-Route Altitudes Program
This program is used to provide the user with the Minimum Off-Route Altitude (MORA) for a given position represented in latitude and longitude.

FOMS Menu 365 - Taxi/Circuit Times Database Program
Use this program to manage taxi and circuit times for a particular airport with a greater level of detail than is currently available via the airport database program. The system uses the information from these databases to determine the proper amount of taxi time or circuit time to use when an airport is loaded. If the Flight Plan being computed does not find information related to the airports of operation for that flight in these databases then it uses the default times found in the airport database. You can define circuit and taxi times for specific times of day and further tailor the use of these times to a specific airline code or aircraft type.

FOMS Menu 366 - Curfew Times Database Program
This program is used to store curfew times for an airport, and optionally for specific aircraft types.

FOMS Menu 375 - Flight Papers Archive Program
Use this program is to view any of the flight data that has been sent to the Flight Plan Archives. By entering the flight key information, (flight number, day, and origin, plus the month), it is possible to view any category of data that has been archived for any selected flight.
Archiving is done automatically by NFP upon viewing the flight brief in the user interface (Reports screen). The complete recipient list, including a fully expanded alias list, is archived.

FOMS Menu 380 - User Restricted Regions Program
This program is used to define unpublished restricted region(s) of airspace.

FOMS Menu 381 - Published Restricted Areas
This program is used to view Published Restricted Areas. These areas are updated with AIRACs and published in AIPs. You can also see restricted areas on the map.

FOMS Menu 382 - User Restricted Regions Override
Use this program to override the Active Type and Time range for Published Restricted Areas in FOMS 381.

FOMS Menu 383 - Published Sectors
Use this program to view the Published Sectors for given FIR. This menu allows users to view all Air Traffic Control (ATC) sectors including boundary definition currently found in our database.

FOMS Menu 394 - FIR Warnings Program
Use this program to display a predefined warning message when the route of flight of an active Flight Plan enters an FIR found within the database.
Dispatch Warning Only - the text of the warning message entered is displayed as a Compute warning on the status bar, see Status Bar for more information.
Flight Plan Warning Only - the text of the warning message entered is included in the Flight Plan.

FOMS Menu 395 - FIR Boundaries Program
Use this program to view FIR Boundary information.

FOMS Menu 396 - Volmet Frequencies
Use this program to view Volmet Frequencies. VOLMET is a global network of radio stations that broadcasts TAF, SIGMET, and METAR reports via shortwave and, in some regions, VHF frequencies.This menu allows users to manage VOLMET stations, including their callsigns, frequencies, and operating times. These reports are then transmitted. The purpose of a VOLMET broadcast is to provide weather information to aircraft in flight.
Note: This is an alternative weather forecast format, used primarily for ETOPs and large regions lacking reliable reports.
