The following steps show how a user can edit a city-pair currently in the system. If you are adding a valid time range to a route, there is a difference between using the Weekdays option and selecting days of the week. Refer to Valid Days article for more information.
Click the Airac Cycle dropdown button.
Click the 1713 list item. Note: Customers who have saved routes under multiple ALC designators utilize this field to distinguish which ALC designator will be queried.
Click the ALC dropdown button and enter CZB.
Click the CZB list item.
Click the Origin input field. The system will recognize airport identifiers in either ICAO or IATA format.
Enter DTW into the Origin field.
Click the Destination input field and enter KATL.
Click the Query button.
Click KDTW from the query result.
Click the Expand button.
Click the Edit button.
Click the Other checkbox. Note: Selecting Other allows you to view options for individual day selection.
Click the Sun checkbox.
Click the Sat checkbox.
Click the Valid Time input field and enter 1800 into the first Valid Time field.
Click the second Valid Time input field and enter 2359 into the second Valid Time field.
Click the Aircraft type input field.
Enter B747 into the Aircraft type field.
Click the Usage dropdown button and select Main Route list item.
Click the Expires dropdown button and select the On specific date list item.
Click the Calendar image.
Click the December 31 hyperlink.
Click the MFL input field and press the Backspace key to remove the 4 from 450. Enter 3 into the MFL field to change it to 350.
Click the Origin Runway dropdown button and select the 21L list item.
Note: We have scrolled down to 21L in this simulation to save time. This isn't standard system functionality.
Click the Airspace button.
Click the Airways list item.
Click the Airways checkbox.
Click the Zoom + button on the airways map to zoom in on the image.
Click the Edit button next to the CRL+K5+V Waypoint.
Click the DCT dropdown button and select the J34 list item.
Click the Checkmark button to accept the change.
Click the Add button next to the CRL+K5+V Waypoint.
Note: Waypoint CRL does not connect to waypoint APE on airway J34. The system checks the route as you edit and issues errors and warnings along the way. Adding additional navigational information resolve the issue.
Click the First dropdown button and select theDJB+K5+V list item.
Click the Second dropdown button and select the J83 list item.
Click the Accept button.
Note: This invalid route data has been resolved with the addition of waypoint "DJB" and airway J83. This error may be cleared.
Click the Alert message at the bottom left-hand side of the screen.
Click the Clear button.
Click the Save button.
Routes can also be edited via the Route String Editor. This allows for editing the route string as text, with copy/cut/paste functionality.
Click the Edit button.
After scrolling down, click the Switch to Route String Editor button via the a in the top right-hand side of the table.
Double-click the Path input field.
Press the Backspace key to delete the highlighted text.
Enter DCT into the Path field.
Click the Accept button.
Click the Save button.
