FOMS Menu 115 (City-Pair Enroute Stations Program)

This program allows you to control the data file that contains the list of enroute stations keyed to any city-pair, so that enroute weather is  displayed in the flight package.

The modes available are:

  • Add

  • Edit

  • Delete

  • Video

  • Screen

  • Hardcopy

  • Quit

Note: See Enroute Stations Fields for a description of the fields used.

Edit Mode

In the Edit mode, you can add, delete, or modify any of the enroute stations on the collect list for a given city-pair.

If there are less than twenty-four entries on the list, you may add more entries to the list. To add a station, position the cursor on the field where you want to add the new entry, and press <Ctrl>-I. This will create a blank field at the cursor position, shifting the entries to the right of the cursor, which is one field further to the right.

To delete a station from the list, position the cursor on it, and press either <Ctrl>-D or <Ctrl>-X. <Ctrl>-D deletes the entry and closes up the list, while <Ctrl>-X deletes the entry and leaves the field open for a new entry. If you press <Enter> on a blank field, the list will be closed up.

Delete Mode

Use this mode only if you want to delete the entire record for a city-pair. If you want to delete only a portion of the city-pair record, use the Edit mode.

Enter the codes for the origin and destination airports for the city-pair. The record will be displayed on the screen, along with the prompt Really Delete?. If this is indeed the record you wish to delete, enter <Y>. If not, enter <N>, which will blank the screen and allow you to enter another choice. Otherwise, you can quit the program by entering <Q>.

Video Mode

Video mode allows you to view one city-pair at a time and all of its associated stations. Use the up and down arrows to step through the database. Press <Enter> or <Q> to quit.

Screen Mode

The input screen for Screen mode allows you to produce a city-pair enroute stations report for a range of city-pairs sorted in alphabetical order by city pair. Enter the range of ICAO code city-pair that you want to include in the report.

The report will display on the screen as defined above.

Hardcopy Mode

This mode functions in the same manner as the Screen mode, except that the report is directed to the system printer.

Quit Mode

Enter <Q> from the command line to exit the program. You will then have the option of entering the next program menu number directly, or defaulting to the last used menu screen.
