Copy records in WebFOMS
The Flight
Operations Management System (FOMS) is NAVBLUE’s proprietary
flight operations management software. It is a complex system
comprised of many programs working together. These programs
include background applications (i.e. flight planning, in-flight
revision, fuel/payload analysis, etc.), reports (i.e.
company/station NOTAMs, weather briefs, flight status reports,
etc.), and large data files storing data (for aircraft
characteristics, airports, routes, performance profiles, ETP
policies/scenarios, etc.).
For NAVBLUE
Flight Plan users, FOMS operates transparently behind NAVBLUE
Flight Plan, with the exception being instances where data
fields are automatically populated by FOMS while flight
planning.
In this topic,
you will see how you can copy an aircraft record type. These instructions can
be used to copy record types on other WebFOMS screens.
Click
the Fin dropdown
button.
Copying a record type is a quick way to create a new record type. The first step is to select the record type that you want to copy.
Click
the 323 list
item.
Click
the Copy button.
When you select
copy, the Fin and Reg field are cleared, but all other fields
that had values remain populated.
You need to
enter new values in the Fin and Reg fields. You cannot save the
new record type until these fields have been entered.
Enter 1717 into
the Fin field.
Click
the Reg input
field.
Enter 4500 into
the Reg field.
Click Save to create the new record type.
Click
the Save button.
