FOMS Screen 468 (Group Alert Monitor Program) is a program that allows the user to add stations to the Weather Alert Monitor list. This allows the user to monitor added stations, even if they are not associated with a flight.
The modes available are:
Add
Edit
Delete
Video
Screen
Hardcopy
Quit
Add Mode
Use this mode to set up a list of stations to be monitored.
Edit Mode
Enter the name of the Group that you wish to modify. The record will be displayed with the cursor positioned on the Profile field for editing. You may change any entry except the Group name.
Delete Mode
Use Delete Mode to remove a Group record. If you want to only remove stations from a particular group listing, use Edit Mode. Enter the Group name of the record you wish to delete. The record will be displayed, along with a ”r;Really DELETE?” prompt on the Command Line. A positive response <Y> deletes the record from the data file and repositions the cursor in the Group Name field for another entry. A negative entry <N> clears the record and allows you to select an alternative Group name.
Video Mode
Enter the Group name for the weather monitor record you wish to view. (The <?> Search function may also be used to locate the first Group name on file). If such a record exists in the data file, it will be displayed. If such a record cannot be located, then a Record Not Found – Press <Enter> for NEXT AVAILABLE prompt will be displayed, and pressing <Enter> will bring up the next record in the file. You may then use the Up and Down arrow keys to scroll through the file alphabetically by Group Name.
Screen Mode
When Screen Mode is selected from the Command Line, a Report Selector Screen will be displayed. Enter the Group Name range and ALC that you wish to have reported or press <?> to search for a Group Name. If no matching record is found in the database, you will get a message.
Hardcopy Mode
This mode functions the same as the Screen mode; however, the entire report is sent to the printer.
Quit Mode
You may exit the program by using the Up arrow key to return to the command line, or by entering <Q> in response to a confirmation prompt. Entering <Q> from the command line will permit you to enter the menu number of the next program or return to the last displayed menu.
