This program is designed to allow users to store and manage direct operating costs (DOC) associated with the operation of their aircraft. The data stored in this database is used by the flight planning system to determine the optimized flight plan cost and routing.
The modes available are:
Add/New
Edit
Delete
Video
Screen
Hardcopy
Quit
Note: See Direct Operating Costs Fields for more information on Add/New Mode.
Edit Mode
This mode allows you to alter the various direct operating costs for a particular record.
To amend a record, enter the ALC and either a FIN or aircraft type/series/engine type configuration and currency unit. The remainder of the information will be displayed on the screen. You may edit the cost(s), using the up and down arrow keys to access a field, and pressing <Enter> once the cost is changed.
Delete Mode
This mode allows you to delete a direct operating cost record.
To delete a record, enter the ALC, FIN (if applicable), aircraft type, series, engine type, and currency unit. The record will be displayed, along with a Really DELETE? confirmation prompt. Entering <Y> will erase the record from the data file, while entering <N> will clear the record and reposition the cursor in the Aircraft Engine field for a new entry.
Video Mode
You may review the direct operating cost information on file by selecting Video mode <V> from the command line, then entering the ALC, aircraft type, series, engine type, and currency unit. Use the up and down arrows to scroll through the records. Press <Enter> or <Q> to return the cursor to the ALC field to start a new Video session.
Screen Mode
When Screen mode is selected, the screen will change to the Report Selector screen, with the cursor positioned on the Report Type field.
Hardcopy Mode
Hardcopy mode functions in the same manner as Screen mode, with the exception that the report is sent to the printer, hence you do not have the ability to terminate the report mid-stream.
Quit Mode
If you know the menu number, entering <Q> from the Command Line will return the Next PROGRAM-NUMBER prompt so that you have the option of going directly to your next program, or returning to the previous menu by pressing <Enter>.
Note: The following descriptions represent the typical access and privileges afforded to users designated as Dispatch Managers/Supervisors. Users with dispatcher privileges will have limited access to a subset of the screens presented.
