Note: The following descriptions represent the typical access and privileges afforded to users designated as Dispatch Managers/Supervisors. Users with dispatcher privileges will have limited access to a subset of the screens presented.
This program is designed to allow users to store and manage direct operating costs (DOC) associated with the operation of their aircraft. The data stored in this database is used by the flight planning system to in determining the optimized cost flight plan and routing.
The modes available are:
See Direct Operating Costs Fields for more information on Add/New Mode.
This mode allows you to alter the various direct operating costs for a particular record.
To amend a record, enter the ALC and either a FIN or aircraft type/series/engine type configuration and currency unit. The remainder of the information will be displayed on screen. You may edit the costs, using the up and down arrow keys to access a field, and <Enter> once the cost is changed.
This mode allows you to delete a direct operating cost record.
To delete a record, enter the ALC, FIN (if applicable), aircraft type, series, engine type and currency unit. The record will be displayed, along with a Really DELETE? confirmation prompt. Entering <Y> will erase the record from the data file, while entering <N> will clear the record and reposition the cursor in the Aircraft Engine field for a new entry.
You may review the direct operating cost information on file by selecting Video mode <V> from the command line, then entering the ALC, aircraft type, series, engine type and currency unit. Use the up and down arrows to scroll through the records. Press <Enter> or <Q> to return the cursor to the ALC field to start a new Video session.
When Screen mode is selected, the screen will change to the Report Selector screen, with the cursor positioned on the Report Type field.
Report Type: Select the way you want the report formatted; by equipment type (E) or FIN (F).
ALC: Enter the airline code for the report.
From: Enter the beginning range for the ALC. The default value is 0.
To: Enter the end range for the ALC. The default is ZEE.
Hardcopy mode functions in the same manner as Screen mode, with the exception that the report is sent to the printer and that hence you do not have the ability to terminate the report in mid-stream.
Entering <Q> from the Command Line will return the Next PROGRAM-NUMBER prompt so that you have the option of going directly to your next program if you know the menu number, or of returning to the previous menu if you simply press <Enter>.
