Adding a Flight
This simulation will be comprised of a step-by-step walkthrough showing how to add a new flight via the flight list, and the plan screen.

Adding a flight
This topic shows you how to add a flight into the system from the List and Plan screen.
Click the Add button.
Enter 0100 into the Flight field.
ALC: This drop-down list allows you to select the desired ALC for the flight that you are planning. By default, the ALC that you use to log in is displayed. This information must be entered before generating a flight plan.
Flight: Enter the flight number assigned to the flight. This information must be entered before generating a flight.
When you click in a field, a brief description of the field is displayed at the bottom of the dialog box.
Click the Type dropdown button.
Click the Normal list item.
Type: This drop-down list allows you to assign a flight type, Normal or Test. If Test is selected, a Test icon 
will appear next to the flight number.
Click the Origin input field.
Enter KJFK into the Origin field.
Click the STD input field.
Enter 052200 into the STD field.
STD: This field allows the user to enter the scheduled day time of departure for the flight in UTC time (DDHHMM format). This date and time can be entered manually. Calendar - you can enter the departure date using the on-screen calendar if you have checked the Use Selected Date checkbox on the Filter Dialog.
First Leg Origin Date: Click the green arrow by the STD field to access this field. This field is used primarily for third-party integrations. It is used to identify the departure date of the first section on a multi-leg flight. When a flight is added, enter a First Leg Origin Date with other flight details. A First Leg Origin date is only needed if it is different that this leg’s STD date. The system groups flights together automatically (looking at the first leg origin date, along with arrival and departure airports) if you click on the Multi-Leg button on the List screen. You do not have to manually select the checkbox beside each flight to group them together.
Click the Dest input field.
Enter EGLL into the Dest field.
Dest: This field allows you to enter the ICAO or IATA identifier for the destination station. The identifier can be entered either in the ICAO or IATA format, but if entered in the IATA format, it will be converted and displayed in the ICAO format. This information must be entered before generating a flight plan.
Click the Aircraft input field.
Enter N320A into the Aircraft field.
Click the N320A list item.
Click the green arrow beside the ETD input field.
ETD: This field contains the estimated time of departure for the flight in UTC time. The ETD will be displayed in a DDHHMM format. This field populates automatically with the STD, but can be adjusted manually.
Click the STA input field.
Calculate based on STA: You can choose to compute a flight based on the estimated time of arrival by clicking on the green arrow beside the ETD field and selecting Calculate based on STA. Once selected, the ETD field is disabled and you must enter a date and time in the STA field to continue.
Depart at Specific Time is the default.
Click the Repeat Number input field.
Repeat Number: This field allows a flight to be reused with a new Universal Flight Number (UFI). The UFI is a unique identifier that consists of the Airline, Flight Number, First Leg Origin Date, Departure and Arrival Airport and optional items Repeat Number and Operational Suffix. This is largely applicable to third-party integrations.
The Repeat Number is used to distinguish between multiple attempts to operate a flight leg. It allows you to enter a flight with the same Flight number provided that the repeat number is incremented. The Repeat Number is shown in brackets beside the Flight number on the List screen.

Click the Add Flight button.
Add Flight: Once all the mandatory fields have been completed, clicking on this button adds the flight to the system and the Add Flight dialog closes.
Groups: This group allows you to assign the flight to a flight group or flight groups. Click on a checkbox to assign the flight to that corresponding flight group.
Cancel: Clicking this closes the Add Flight dialog without adding a flight.
You can also add a flight from the Plan screen.
Click the Plan tab.
Click the Flight input field.
The Flight Keys will be disabled if you have a flight selected when you enter the Plan screen.
Click the Clear button at the bottom of the screen to enable the Flight Key buttons.
Enter 0200 into the Flight field.
Click the green arrow beside the Flight field to change the flight type. You will also have the opportunity to change the type using the Add Flight dialog later.
Click the Origin input field.
Enter KJFK into the Origin field.
Click the STD input field.
Enter 052200 into the STD field.
Once you have these fields filled out click anywhere to open the Add Flight dialog.
Click anywhere on the right-hand side of the screen.
Use the Add Flight dialog to fill out the rest of the mandatory fields.
Enter EGLL into the Dest field.
Click the Aircraft input field.
Enter N320A into the Aircraft field.
Click the N320A list item.
Click the Add Flight button.
