Introduction
Adding a Flight
This simulation will be comprised of a step-by-step walkthrough showing how to add a new flight via the flight list, and the plan screen.

Detailed Explanation
Click the Add button.
Enter 0100 into the Flight field.
ALC: This dropdown list allows you to select the desired ALC for the flight that you are planning. By default, the ALC that you use to log in is displayed. This information must be entered before generating a flight plan.
Flight: Enter the flight number assigned to the flight. This information must be entered before generating a flight.
When you click in a field, a brief description of the field is displayed at the bottom of the dialog box.
Click the Type dropdown button.
Click the Normal list item.
Type: This dropdown list allows you to assign a flight type, Normal, or Test. If Test is selected, a Test icon will appear next to the flight number.
Click the Origin input field.
Enter KJFK into the Origin field.
Click the STD input field.
Enter 061010 into the STD field.
Click the Dest input field.
Enter EGLL into the Dest field.
Dest: This field allows you to enter the ICAO or IATA identifier for the destination station. The identifier can be entered either in the ICAO or IATA format, but if entered in the IATA format, it will be converted and displayed in the ICAO format. This information must be entered before generating a flight plan.
Click the Aircraft input field.
Enter N330A into the Aircraft field.
Click the ETD input field.
Click the green arrown beside ETD button.
ETD: This field contains the estimated time of departure for the flight in UTC time. The ETD will be displayed in a DDHHMM format. This field populates automatically with the STD, but can be adjusted manually.
Click the STA input field.
Calculate based on STA: You can choose to compute a flight based on the estimated time of arrival by clicking on the green arrow beside the ETD field and selecting Calculate based on STA. Once selected, the ETD field is disabled and you must enter a date and time in the STA field to continue.
Depart at Specific Time is the default.
Click the Repeat Number input field.
Click the Add Flight button.
Click the Plan tab.
You can also add a flight from the Plan screen.
Click the Flight input field.
The Flight Keys will be disabled if you have a flight selected when you enter the Plan screen.
Click the Clear button at the bottom of the screen to enable the Flight Key buttons.
Enter 0100 into the Flight field.
Click the green arrow beside the Flight field to change the flight type. You will also have the opportunity to change the type using the Add Flight dialog later.
Click the Origin input field.
Enter KJFK into the Origin field.
Click the STD input field.
Enter 061010 into the STD field.
Once you have these fields filled out click anywhere to open the Add Flight dialog.
Click Anywhere on the right hand panel.
Enter EGLL into the Dest field.
Use the Add Flight dialog to fill out the rest of the mandatory fields.
Click the Aircraft input field.
Enter N330A into the Aircraft field.
Click the Add Flight button.
Use the Add Flight dialog to fill out the rest of the mandatory fields.
