This program stores the default and per-aircraft suitabilities for a given ICAO. The file is keyed on the four-letter ICAO identification code.
The modes available are:
Add / New
Edit
Delete
Screen
Video
Hardcopy
Quit
Copy - you can copy airport suitability settings using the Web FOMS 122 menu.
Refer to the Airport Suitability Fields article for a description of the fields used.
Edit Mode
Entering <E> from the Command Line will put you into Edit mode. In this mode, you may edit any of the fields in the input screen of a previously added Suitability record.
Delete Mode
When you enter the ICAO code for an airport, the program will display the suitability record for that station, along with a prompt to confirm that you do wish to delete them all. A <Y> response will delete the airport from the Suitability database. A <N> response will clear the screen and re-position the cursor in the ICAO field for entry to another station.
Video Mode
Starting Video mode enables you to view a selected Airport and its related suitability information. Also, it allows you to step through the data file alphabetically using the up and down arrow keys. The initial screen displays the usual blank record and requests entry of an initial ICAO code. The file is sorted alphabetically by ICAO code of the airport. Pressing <Enter> will clear the display and permit you to enter a new destination.
Screen Mode
This mode allows you to review the Suitability tables for a range of airports at one time. Entering <S> from the command line will retrieve the Report Selector screen and position the cursor in the first field.
Hardcopy Mode
Hardcopy mode functions in the same manner as Screen mode; however, the report is sent to the printer and you do not have the ability to terminate the report in mid-stream.
Quit Mode
Entering <Q> from the command line returns the Next PROGRAM-NUMBER prompt so you have the option of going directly to your next program if you know the menu number or of returning to the previous.
Note: The following descriptions represent the typical access and privileges given to users designated as Dispatch Managers/Supervisors. Users with Dispatcher privileges will have limited access to a subset of the screens presented.
