This section describes how to view, edit, add and delete items in FOMS using the Aircraft Database screen. These instructions can be followed for any. Note: For an overview of the Aircraft Characteristic screen refer to Web Aircraft Characteristics screen.
View Aircraft Characteristics
To view characteristics of an aircraft:
When you first enter the Aircraft Characteristics screen you are in Screen mode.
Click inside the Fin field (first field) in the Basic group and either select an aircraft from the drop-down menu or enter search criteria.
Once an aircraft has been selected the fields with values are automatically populated.
Add a New Aircraft
To add a new aircraft to the aircraft characteristic database:
Select the New button, once selected all mandatory fields are highlighted red and a red X icon is displayed.
Refer to: Aircraft Characteristics Screen for more information.
Complete all mandatory fields and any optional fields and click Save. The Save button becomes active and when all mandatory fields are completed, the red X is removed . Click Cancel to cancel any changes.
Edit Aircraft Characteristics
To edit aircraft characteristics:
Click inside the Fin field (first field) in the Basic group and either select an aircraft from the drop-down menu or enter search criteria.
Once an aircraft has been selected any field with a saved value is automatically populated.
Click the Edit button.
Click the Save button once edits are complete. Click Cancel to cancel any changes.
Copy Aircraft Characteristics
To copy aircraft characteristics:
Click inside the Fin field (first field) in the Basic group and either select an aircraft from the drop-down menu or enter search criteria.
Once an aircraft has been selected any field with a saved value is automatically populated.
Click the Copy button. The Fin and Reg fields are cleared and become mandatory fields.
Click the Save button once you have completed the changes. Click Cancel to cancel any changes.
Delete Aircraft Characteristics
To delete aircraft characteristics:
Click inside the Fin field (first field) in the Basic group and either select an aircraft from the drop-down menu or enter search criteria (see image).
Once an aircraft has been selected the fields with values are automatically populated.
Click the Delete button.
Click the OK button to confirm the changes. Click Cancel to cancel any changes.
Note: The following descriptions represent the typical access and privileges afforded to users designated as Dispatch Managers/Supervisors. Users with dispatcher privileges will have limited access to a subset of the screens presented.
