Introduction
Aircraft Configuration - ETP/Driftdown Fuel Dumping
Description of Fuel Dumping Aircraft Configuration
We estimate that this will take 2 minutes to complete.
Detailed Explanation
ETP Fuel Dump Configuration
Fuel dumping is used in ETP engine failure situations. If due to an engine failure, an aircraft type is unable to maintain a safe altitude that meets drift down requirements, N-FP will calculate the necessary amount of fuel to be dumped in order to maintain a safe altitude (MORA). A field can be added to the flight plan fuel block that provides the amount of fuel to be dumped in an ETP engine out scenario.
The following steps will show how to enable fuel dumping for a particular aircraft type.
Click the Maintenance menu item.
Click the FOMS Maintenance tab.
Enter 215 into the Choice field.
