Introduction
Expanded Flight Options
The topic shows you how to use the expanded flight options on the List screen.
We estimate that this will take 4 minutes to complete.
Detailed Explanation
Expanded Flight Options
Users can expand a flight from the List screen to make quick changes to a flight and recompute without having to go into the full Plan screen. Users can expand more than one flight at a time and collapse flights as needed. Let's look at the process.
For this exercise we will expand two flights at the same time.
Click the Flight 0J09 check box.
Click the Flight 0N09 check box.
Click the Expand button.
Fields will populate with details from third party integrations or input defaults, if available.
Once you have entered the updated information, clicking on the C will compute the flight plan.
HINT
Users can expand multiple plans at the same time, but can only edit one at a time.
Click the green arrow next to the Flight ETD input field.
In the first column, you can change:
- Destination (Dest)
- Estimated Time of Departure (ETD)
- Time of Arrival (STA)
- Aircraft Tail (Aircraft)
- ATC ALC.
The expanded box for ETD allows you to select if you want to depart at a specific time or if you want to work backwards and calculate the ETD based on the standard arrival for that flight.
The 2nd column is for route information:
- Route - if you have stored routes, these will appear in the dropdown
- Profile - The dropdown will include all cruise profiles for the aircraft selected
- MFL - Maximum Flight Level.
Profile type list is available when you select the green arrow beside Profile. This list allows you to select a profile type. Options available are:
- Specific Profile
- Optimum cost index
- Meet Schedule CI
- Optimum fixed Mach
- Meet schedule fixed.

The 3rd column allows you to select your alternates. If you have preferred alternates set up in your configurations, they will populate as a dropdown or the user can manually enter an alternate.
The expanded green box allows you to select if you will be using an airport for an alternate, island hold, or no alternate needed.
The next column is Weights, which allows you to update the number of adults and children, cargo, payload, and Operating Empty Weight.
The expanded green box allows the payload to be calculated as a specific number, preferred payload, or maximum payload, as needed.
The Fuel column allows users to make changes to the fuel for the flight plan.
The Tankerage field can be expanded to select which type of tankering the Flight Plan needs.
The additional hold fields can be expanded to indicate if the user wants to:
- Use a quantity of additional hold fuel as a weight
- Use a quantity of gold fuel at a time at a specific flight level
- At Altn lets you set the additional hold fuel over the alternate, if an alternate is used.
- Optional: allows user to select, and only add if it does not affect the payload.

Click the green arrow next to Fuel 2nd Additional Hold input field.
The expanded box for Additional will list the categories available to break down the fuel quantity.
Click the X next to Crew button.
After computing using the C in the top left, users can select the X in the right corner to collapse the flight information.
