Automation Defaults Tab

The Automation Defaults tab allows you to create automation profiles and add or edit a list of automation events for that profile. You can have multiple profiles and apply a profile to all flights or to a list of flights. You can select a default profile, using the Profile Name field,  in the Airline Code Parameters FOMS screens. If you select a default profile all flights use the selected profile. You can use the Automation Profile Name field in the Input Defaults WebFOMS screen to automatically add an automation profile to a flight if the records match. You don't have to use profiles, you can leave the Name field blank and automation will work for all flights.

To create an automation profile:

  1. Select ALC.
  2. Enter a profile name in the Name field.
  3. Click Load.
  4. Click Add to open the Add Automation Events dialog.
  5. Add a scheduled event or a triggered automation event and click Save on the dialog box.
  6. Repeat steps 5 and 6 until you have all of the events you want to add.
  7. Click Save to complete your profile.
When your profile is saved it is available in the drop-down list on the Automation screen, and it is available on the FOMS screens as well.

To edit an automation profile:

  1. Select ALC.
  2. Select a profile name in the Name field.
  3. Click Load.
  4. Select a scheduled event or automated trigger event and click Edit to open the Edit Automation Events dialog.
  5. Complete the edit and click Save on the dialog box.
  6. Repeat steps 5 and 6 until you have all of the events you want to add.
  7. Click Save to complete the edits.
  8. You can also follow these steps to add events to an existing profile. Select the profile, click Load and add new events.
