Reports Screen Buttons

There are multiple buttons that are displayed on the Reports screen both above and below the preview of the Flight Plan.

Reports screen buttons

Explanation

Send to ATC

When clicking the Send to ATC button, the ATC dialog opens and the options are:

  • Confirm - This sends the ICAO ATC message to recipients listed in the Send to ATC dialog.

  • Details - This opens up who the recipients are that will receive the ATC transmission.

  • FPL - This is the Flight Plan details message that is sent to ATC.

  • CHG - This is a Flight Plan change message.

  • DLA - This is a Delay message.

  • CNL - This is a Cancel message.

  • DEP - This is a Departure message.

  • RRA - This is a Rerouting message.

This button is disabled when running a test flight. A warning icon is displayed beside the Send to ATC button if the flight plan was originally planned and filed with ATC, but was re-computed after the fact. To remove the warning, you must re-file with ATC since the flight plan has been recomputed.

Send Flight Package

The Send Flight Package button allows you to send the entire or selected portions of the flight package to the recipients listed in the Send Flight Package dialog. To send the entire package, select the Send Flight Package button (left side). To select a component or components to send, click the dropdown arrow of the button (right side) and select one of the options:

  • Send flight plan

  • Send weather

  • Send NOTAMs

  • Send Free Text.

Once the Send Flight Package option opens, enter the desired recipients and details on when to send the package, then press Send. This button is disabled when running a test flight.

Note: If you select Send NOTAMs using the dropdown arrow button, only Company and Station NOTAMs will be sent, not FIR NOTAMs.

Send ACARS

The Send ACARS button allows you to send an ACARS message to the recipients listed in the Send ACARS pop-up window.

Attach

The Attach button allows you to import documents to the Flight Package. The embedded documents appear in the Company Documents section that you specified on the maintenance screen. Formats accepted are:

  • .pdf

  • .jpg

  • .png

  • .txt.

An Attach Company Document dialog will appear when you select the Attach button. Select Choose File to open up a dialog box to select your file and click the Upload button to add it.

Delete a Document

Click the trash can button to remove a document from the package contents. You may have to refresh the Reports page after you delete a document to remove it from the screen.

Permit Rmks

The Permit Rmks button opens the Permit Remarks dialog.

IFPS Validate

The IFPS Validate button sends a validation request to EUROCONTROL for the loaded flight plan. This is only used for flights applicable to the EUROCONTROL zone. Any errors in the validation process will appear in the error bar and a failure icon  will appear in the IFPS Validate button. A successful validation will result in a success icon  appearing in the IFPS Validate button. Use of the dropdown button in the event IFPS fails automatically retrieves a valid IFPS route and redirects to the Route Builder screen with the recommended route populated.

ADSB Validate

The ADSB Validate button sends a validation request for the loaded flight plan to the N-Prediction ADS-B web service. Any errors in the validation process will appear in the error bar and a failure icon  will appear in the ADSB Validate button. A successful validation will result in a success icon  appearing in the ADSB Validate button. This can also be defaulted in FOMS Menu 170.

NFP has the ability to add RAIM validation (i.e., pass or fail) messages to the flight package. This functionality is format-dependent. Contact Support for more information on configuring your formats as ADSB is not available to all customers.

RAIM Validate

The RAIM Validate button sends a validation request for the loaded flight plan to the DW International RAIM web service. Any errors in the validation process will appear in the error bar and a failure icon  will appear in the RAIM Validate button. A successful validation will result in a success icon  appearing in the RAIM Validate button. This can also be defaulted in FOMS Menu 170.
