This program allows you to set a preferred runway for an airport, ALC or for a specific aircraft using equipment and series.
Preferred Runways won't apply to the following route building scenarios:
the system is told to use a specific runway
the system is told not to use a runway
the system is told to use the runway with maximum headwind.
For an overview of the WebFOMS features, refer to the Aircraft Characteristics screen. The features described there can be applied to all screens.

Screen
Screen is the default view when you first go to a WebFOMS screen. When Screen is selected you can view all records that exist in the system. Select the arrow in the first field of the WebFOMS screen to access the dropdown menu to view the list of available records. Only items that exist in the database are shown in the dropdown list.
Field | Description |
Airport | Enter the ICAO, IATA, or FAA code for the airport. |
Alc | Enter an Airline Code that you wish to have the profile applied to. If this field is left blank, the profile will be applied to all flights that operate at the airport specified. |
Equip | Enter a valid equipment type (e.g., B737, B757). A search option is available by dropping down the list. If equipment type is specified then the Preferred Runways profile will only be applied when the specified equipment type is used on a flight that operates at the airport specified. |
Series | Enter the series designation of the aircraft. A search option is available by dropping down the list. If aircraft series is specified then the Preferred Runways profile will only be applied when the specified aircraft series is used on a flight that operates at the airport specified. |
Field | Description |
From Hour | Enter the number of hours to use as preferred runway for a given starting time period. |
To Hour | Enter the number of hours to use as preferred runway for a given ending time period. An empty To Hour indicates an all day preference. |
Runway | Select the preferred runway on the dropping down list. |
Usage | Select the type of usage to apply to the profile. This can apply to Arrivals (A), Departures (D), or Both (B). |
Disabled | Checked to make a runway unavailable for type of usage on the given period of time. |
For example above, Runway 03L is not available to use for both departure and arrival as all day. The period of 02 - 05 UTC has preferred arrival runway as 03R but for the period of 05 - 02 UTC has preferred arrival runway as 21R.

Source | This automatically inserts the user id of the person who was logged on at the time the change is accepted. |
Updated | This automatically inserts the date that record was added or changed. |
Note: The following descriptions represent the typical access and privileges given to users designated as Dispatch Managers/Supervisors. Users with dispatcher privileges will have limited access to a subset of the screens presented.
