ALC: This field represents the carrier’s three-letter airline code. Generally only one airline code is maintained on each system, however there is support for multiple airline codes should the user have the requirement to manage more than one airline code.

Approach and Minima Section

Landing Approach: STARS and DCT to the airport will use a landing approach if (Y) is selected

Types: Override allowed approach types (ILS, RNAV, etc) and order them in priority

Minima Src/Std: What is the minima data source (A)lc Only, (C)ommon or (B)oth and what is the Minima Regulatory Standard (P)art OPS, T(E)RPS, (T)P308 or (S)tate

Minima Fallback: Defines system behaviour when no minima are available for the selected runway at the destination airport.

Options are:

Selected Runway Only

Selected Runway or ACP if None – If no minima are available for the selected runway, the system uses ACP Weather Minima ceiling and visibility minimum values for destination.

Any Runway or ACP if None – If no minima are available for the selected runway, the system looks for minima for any other runway at the airport. If no minima are available at the airport, the system uses ACP Weather Minima ceiling and visibility minimum values for destination.

Check Crew Qual: Options are Yes or No (Y/N). Controls whether crew approach qualification checks are enabled. If Y, the system automatically discards approaches for which the crew is not qualified.

Default Weather Minima Section

Orig: Enter the minimum and warning values for ceiling (feet) and visibility (meters) for origin stations.

Dest: Enter the minimum and warning values for ceiling (feet) and visibility (meters) for destination stations.

Other: Enter the minimum and warning values for ceiling (feet) and visibility (meters) for other stations.

Alt Rwy Mnm Buf Section - Information about this is also found in FOMS 170 Page 3.

Normal: Enter the minimum and warning values for ceiling (feet) and visibility (meters) for alternate station

1Rwy: Enter the minimum and warning values for ceiling (feet) and visibility (meters) for alternate station with only one runway

>1Rwy: Enter the minimum and warning values for ceiling (feet) and visibility (meters) for alternate stations with more than one runway

High Minima Buffers Section which increase destination approach minima for High Min crew members can control ceiling and visibility buffers placed on minima:

Ceiling: Enter ceiling buffer for high minima in feet

Visibility: Enter visibility buffer for high minima in meters

Dest Alternate Approach Minima Section

Buffer Rule: [N]one, [Buffer], Buffer w/[M]in, [P]art-Ops, [I]CAO, [U]AE

Allow Reciprocal: If None is selected for the Buffer Rule, you will not need to answer this.  If there is a buffer rule, select [Y] in this field to allow reciprocal approaches to be considered for 2+ precision approaches.

Enter the ceiling (in feet) and visibility (in meters) buffer to be applied to approach minima at the alternate station when using a non-precision approach to determine alternate minima.

If the user has selected Buffer w/ Minimum Value, you will also be able to enter the minimum values for ceiling (in feet) and visibility (in meters).

1PA: Enter the ceiling (in feet) and visibility (in meters) buffer to be applied to approach minima at the alternate station when using a single precision approach to determine alternate minima. If the user has selected Buffer w/ Minimum Value, you will also be able to enter the minimum values for ceiling (in feet) and visibility (in meters).

2+PA: Enter the ceiling (in feet) and visibility (in meters) buffer to be applied to approach minima at the alternate station when using two or more precision approaches to determine alternate minima. If you selected Buffer w/ Minimum Value, you will also be able to enter the minimum values for ceiling (in feet) and visibility (in meters)
