This simulation will review the practical application of the reserve policies, as well as a review of how those policies can be set on the back end, including the use of Input Defaults.

We estimate that this will take 3 minutes to complete.

2       Detailed Explanation

N-Flight Planning Reserve Policy Selection

This module will review the practical application of the various Reserve Policies available via the N-FP interface. Note that the default values for Reserve Fuel can be set in the Airline Code Parameters and/or Aircraft Characteristics.

Interaction 1

Interaction 1 Click the Reserve dropdown button.

The Reserve selection is an option within the Fuel Group on the Plan Screen.  The Reserve selection allows you to specify either a "policy", a fixed amount of fuel as a weight, a fixed amount of fuel as a time in minutes, or a percentage of the total flight time.

NAVBLUE has an extensive catalog of existing Reserve Policies.  The system can support up to 100 Reserve Policies in the Reserve drop down.  If a customer requires a policy that does not currently exist, it can be created.
